Small GroupAt CCCC, we want everyone to be connected in God honoring relationships where they are continually growing in their relationship with Jesus Christ. We believe that the very best environment for that to happen is in a group. Groups are used to help people grow to full devotion to Jesus Christ by providing materials and leadership. Group is also the best way we can be sure that all our members are being cared for in times of crisis. Our groups use a framework to target and grow specific areas of our relationship with Jesus.
How can you get in a group? Through GroupLink! GroupLink is an event where we "link" people to brand new or open groups.
Our next GroupLink is Sunday, April 11, 2010 from 6:00-7:30pm (check in begins at 5:40) in the Egret Bay Campus auditorium. Online registration will begin in early March.
Small Groups & GroupLink FAQ
What kinds of small groups do you have?
Couples Groups, Singles Groups, Men Only Groups, Women Only Groups & Mixed Groups in which everyone is welcome. Our groups are also organized around spiritual maturity. We have Novice, Intermediate and Advanced groups. We also offer a group for those who have little to no knowledge of Jesus, the Gospel and Christianity which is known as Starting Point.
When do small groups meet?
Groups meet all throughout the week on different days and times. The only exception is the first Wednesday night of the month when we encourage all our small groups to gather together for The Gathering.
What do small groups study?
Most of our small groups have a specific set of curriculum built around the 7Gs (Glorify, Grace, Growth, Group, Gifts, Good Stewarship & Go) plus optional studies that Small Group Navigators can choose from. Advanced groups may use studies which parallel G-packs but are more in-depth for those further down the spiritual maturity continuum. All groups are committed to the 7G philosophy.
What is GroupLink?
GroupLink is our primary connection event for getting people into groups. At GroupLink, participants meet people in similar seasons of life to form new groups.
What happens at GroupLink?
In the first thirty minutes, you will have the opportunity to meet the Small Group Navigators and get a feel for which groups are a good fit for you. The next thirty minutes we use humor and story to help you know what to expect from a small group. The last thirty minutes is when you actually sign up for a group.
Is childcare provided at GroupLink?
No. In order to maximize the experience, we ask that you make arrangements with a sitter.
What does "priority is given to early reservations" mean?
We want to provide a small group experience for everyone at CCCC, but we have a limited number of groups. Therefore, the total reservations accepted for GroupLink is limited by the number of groups available. Those who reserve their spot early will be given first opportunity to attend GroupLink. For those attending GroupLink, reservations are numbered and early reservations will be given priority in signing up for the small group of their choice.
Can I be in a group with people who attend another campus?
Yes. We ask that you connect with people who attend the same campus you do, but if you cannot find a small group that is a fit at your campus, you may join one from another campus. We will indicate on the description for each group at GroupLink which campus the Small Group Navigator attends.
What if I would like to get connected before the next GroupLink?
You can get connected by volunteering through First Serve.
If you would like to find out what groups are currently open to recieve new members you can e-mail Michele Sanders.
We need Small Group Navigators. If you are a follower of Jesus and desire to grow yourself and help others grow in their devotion to Jesus, please consider becoming a Navigator. For more information e-mail Michele Sanders at msanders@clearcreek.org.
