Go Ops![]() Go Ops are opportunities for small groups to engage in ministries in our community and the world. The following are opportunities for your group to consider. Please contact the appropriate person for additional information and to schedule a time for your group to serve. Anchor Point Crisis Pregnancy Center
Located in League City, Anchor Point seeks to give hope to each woman and her unborn child and to spare them the anguish of abortion. You can be a part of this in several ways through praying, donating, and volunteering. Individuals can volunteer as handymen, mentors, receptionists, client advocates, and many more opportunities. Bay Area Habitat for Humanity
Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit, ecumenical Christian housing ministry that seeks to provide a decent house in a decent community for all of God’s people in need. Habitat invites people from all walks of life to work together to help build houses with partner families. Bay Area Habitat for Humanity, founded by several area churches in 1991, includes Clear Lake City, League City, Webster, Seabrook, Kemah, Dickinson, and Sante Fe.

Bay Area Turning Point
Bay Area Turning Point, Inc. (BATP) mission is to provide recovery solutions services for survivors of family violence and sexual assault and facilitates violence prevention; strategies for societal change in partnership with their community. Their goal is to provide direct services to child and adult victims and families experiencing domestic and sexual violence. Serving families and children at the Horizon Meadows apartments in La Marque. Movie night is on Tuesdays at 4pm. Story time is on Wednesdays at 4pm.

Friends Thru The Fight
Friends Thru The Fight is local non-profit that seeks to serve and assist Galveston County patients currently fighting breast or gynecological cancers by providing encouragement along with support services, meet emergent financial & spiritual needs. Small groups can sponsor a patient for 1-3 months by providing weekly meals.

Good Neighbors is a resource ministry serving families in need in League City. Services include delivering meals to a mobile home community. Pregnancy and Parenting Support Center This center is a non-profit Christian organization that provides on-going support for pregnant and parenting moms throughout their pregnancy and/or until their baby turns three. Services include counseling, spiritual guidance, financial assistance and parenting classes. Volunteer opportunities include counseling, office assistant, telephone support, prayer partners, resale shop assistance, coordinating a baby shower, building maintenance, teaching classes and much more. The Bridge exists to assist women, children and men in crisis, particularly those who have been affected by domestic violence, sexual assault, or homeless situations. The Bridge provides access to critical services for those in crisis situations. The nature of these crimes makes it difficult for individuals and families to rebuild their lives without support. There are multiple opportunities to become involved in serving that include anything from planning parties to organizing their pantry. Youth Mentoring Invest in a life, mentors needed for at-risk youths at the Harris County Youth Village on Nasa Road One. Program has a flexible mentoring schedule. Prison Fellowship Ministry at the Carole Young Prison Centered on reentry and mentoring. Opportunities include facilitating small groups in the prison. (Tuesday and Wednesday evenings 5:30-7:30); mentor prisoners inside the prison (weekly) and also when they are released. Serve a Church Plant
Often times the church plants that we partner with and support need groups of volunteers to help with outreach events, administrative projects, and even Sunday morning services. These are great opportunities to see firsthand what God is doing in various parts of the Houston area.
